Metal Work and Jewelry Design I Final Project
Jewelry design and metal work is a medium that I do not typically come into contact with, and I entered the class being very unaware of the techniques, materials, and procedures required to make metal art, and the complexity of how all of those parts interlink throughout the entire creation process. For this final project, we switched from metals like copper, steel, etc., into something more refined: silver. I was greatly inspired by my love of astrology and crystals, and I chose two of my favorite stones, Moonstone and Rose Quartz.
During this project, I fine-tuned my persistence, creativity, and open-mind, and was able to take the directions from my professor and use them to create something important and meaningful to me that I can wear on a daily basis.
